Meet Our Instructors

Scott Waschler

Scott-Waschler-For-WebScott is the founder and president of TEKnowLogical Solutions. He is regarded as an expert in video conferencing and TelePresence training and technical support.

He has a deep background in telecommunications, technical training, video conferencing and TelePresence. After serving in leadership positions in the U.S. Marines, Scott has held engineering, technical support, training, and program management roles at JDSU, Ciena, and TANDBERG (now Cisco).

Scott is certified in Instructional Systems Design (ISD). He has developed curriculum and related learning materials, and delivered training courses for Acano Academy, TANDBERG University, Cisco certification courses, as well as telecommunication technologies (optical, packet, transport, and access).

Scott’s favorite place is in front of a classroom of technical professionals, helping people ‘get it.’


Bill Howden

Bill-Howden-for-WebBill is the founder and president of Howden Consulting, a professional services corporation which specializes in helping companies operate better by clarifying their business objectives, developing processes and solutions, and simplifying the complexity within their operation.

Bill has an extensive background in telecommunications, engineering, operations leadership, and management. His specialties include product/solution/service definition, executive selling, contract negotiation and administration, project management, business process engineering, change management and managerial accounting.

Bill has held technical, leadership, and executive roles at Hughes Network Systems, JDSU, and EXFO. He has over a decade of VP/GM experience, leading large global service divisions at both JDSU and EXFO with full P&L accountability. His experience also includes responsibility for ISO-9000 leadership.

Bill holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Engineering and Management and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Project Management Institute (PMI). He also holds an FCC Lifetime First Class Radio-Telephone Engineering license.

Bill’s favorite place is in the midst of a business operation, making it work more efficiently to help the company grow.
